Holly joined BritainThinks in 2017 from research agency ComRes, where she led the public sector and social research team, conducting research across the arts, culture, education and sport sectors. Holly has delivered research for clients ranging from Arts Council England, the British Library and the Heritage Lottery Fund, Teach First, Universities UK and numerous UK universities, to the English Federation of Disability Sport and the Tennis Foundation.
Holly has particular expertise in conducting research to help organisations communicate effectively with the audiences that matter most to them – such insight-led media guidelines for reporting on disabled people in sport for EFDS, to Nesta’s Innovation Population, a statistical segmentation of the public on attitudes to innovation. Holly led research into digital influence for the Grantham Research Institute, which won the 2014 MRS Award for Public Policy/Social Research. She holds a Master’s Degree in English Literature, and a Batchelor’s Degree in English and Theology, both from the University of Nottingham.
