Public perceptions of UK universities | A report for Universities UK

In this report, conducted on behalf of Universities UK we explore how the UK public feel about the country's universities. 

Specifically, this research set out to:

- Benchmark public sentiment towards UK universities, and level of awareness of the public benefit of universities;

- Provide deep-dive qualitative insight on the drivers behind the views the public holds; and

- Identify the message and themes about the benefits of unversities that will resonate most with the public.

We conducted a pre-workshop online community, 8 mini deliberative workshops with people who are neutral towards universities, followed by a survey of 2,093 UK adults aged 18+. Data were weighted to be representative of UK adults by age, gender, region and socio-economic group.
