With politics apparently in stasis and the two main parties neck and neck in the polls, their positioning among the public is critical. To understand what, if anything, the Conservatives and Labour could do to ‘break the deadlock’ and pull ahead in the polls we conducted two workshops with swing voters in battleground seats alongside a nationally representative poll of 2,015 GB adults. Our research covered perceptions of the parties, their leaders and the different actions that they could take to persuade the public to vote for them.
